Monthly savings
Estimate savings with deposits at the end of each month and a constant interest rate.
How do I use this calculator?
Enter amounts on the same basis: same currency, period and tax treatment. Change one assumption at a time to compare results. The proposed values illustrate the calculation and are not an offer.
The formula
Capital = C(1+i)ⁿ + V × ((1+i)ⁿ − 1) / i ; i = annual nominal rate / 12.
Educational simulation: you enter the rates, with no real-time market data. Fees, insurance, taxes and contractual terms are included only where a field provides for them.
A practical example
Here is the calculation with the values shown on opening. You can restore them with the reset button.
| Initial savings | 1,000 € |
|---|---|
| Monthly contribution | 100 € |
| Rate | 5 % |
| Duration | 10 years |
| Projected savings | 17,175.24 € |
| Total contributed | 13,000 € |
The result corresponds to these inputs and the stated formula. Displayed decimals are rounded to at most six places; calculations retain the available precision until display.
Frequently asked questions
How can I check the result?
Use the formula “Capital = C(1+i)ⁿ + V × ((1+i)ⁿ − 1) / i ; i = annual nominal rate / 12.” with your own values. First check the units and stated conditions, then compare your result with the tool.
Are my data saved?
The entered values are used only for the calculation in your browser. The application does not send them to a calculation service or retain them after reload. See the privacy policy for hosting operations.
Why does the calculator show an error?
An empty field, division by zero or a value incompatible with the formula may prevent calculation. The message explains the correction needed. You may use a dot or comma for decimals.
